The third of the Solo Series the 21st of July 2013
A fading breeze made it dodgy, right from the start. The RO was convinced that we would get the same breeze that we had had the previous day and I must admit I was of the same mind.
Huey had a different idea. In and out, moving 10 degrees either way and of course that kept the mark layers busy. Well done the team. The Start boat was laden with goodies; everyone had bought food bar JS and frankly we needed him to eat well. The racing started on time with no quarter given and with some of the champions away o/s it was a chance for others to shine.
And didn't he shine. Well done Optimist # 1200. Five 1sts. Lucky, no! He ran down and beat his own sister to get to the line first. By the last race, every one had had enough and the line was quick and easy. I looked at the images and on the day the 420's got up.
Enjoy the photo's.
